Page Review: Account History

The Account History page provides access to transactional history for your individual accounts. By default, this page displays the history for the first account in your profile or the selected account that you choose via the Account Name hyperlink from the Account Overview menu.

  • Account Selection - Using the drop-down box, select an account to display transaction history and click ‘Submit’. The page headline will use the account nickname, if selected under Preferences>Account, and will also use any account number mask to protect the confidentiality and privacy of your online account information.
  • Account Details - The collapsible panel contains all additional account details that are available for the selected account. These details are in addition to the summary details displayed on the Account>Overview page. You can expand or collapse the panel by double-clicking anywhere on the panel or single-clicking on the double box symbol on the right side of the panel.

  • Search & Export Options - As the amount of transaction history for a selected account grows, the search drop-down box allows you to easily find specific online transactions. You can search for transactions by check number, range of checks, date, date range (time period), transaction amount, amount range, transaction description, or other parameters.

Once you have narrowed the list by selecting one of the search filters and entering the required data, click the ‘Search’ button to display the data. You can restore the original online history list by selecting ‘Default View’ from the search drop-down selection, and clicking the ‘Search’ button. You can also get a complete list of available history by selecting ‘All Available Transactions’ from the search drop-down box.

Instead of displaying your search results, you can also easily export the data to a file by selecting the ‘Export to file’ option from the ‘Display’ drop-down. You can then choose a supported format from the drop-down box. You can download your data into popular personal financial management and business financial management applications.

    • Microsoft® Excel (.xls) or another spreadsheet application
    • Comma separated value file (.csv)
    • Microsoft® Money / Microsoft® Office Accounting (.ofx)
    • Quicken (.qfx); please contact us for a list of supported versions.
    • QuickBooks (.qbo); please contact us for a list of supported versions.

You will be asked if you wish to ‘Open’ or ‘Save’ the export file. If you choose to ‘Open’ the file, you must have the application that supports the file format installed on your local machine.

  • Transaction History - Transaction history is a display of the default history for a selected account. You can sort any column by clicking on the column name. The magnifying glass icon next to a transaction indicates that there may be an image associated with that transaction, such as a check image. Single-clicking on the magnifying glass will display the image in a new pop-up browser window. NOTE: Please ensure that your browser is configured to allow pop-ups from our site to use this feature.

  • Transaction Images - The magnifying glass icon next to some transactions indicates that there is an image stored for that transaction, a check image for example. Just click on the image of the magnifying glass for the specific transaction image you want to view and the system will retrieve the image and display it in a pop-up window. You can also click on the folder icon to view additional items such as deposit or withdrawal slips, if available. You should configure your pop-up blocker to accept pop-ups from our site to use this feature.

Frequently Asked Questions: Account History

Q: How do I know how much history is available for an account?
A: At the bottom of the account history page you can see the oldest historical transaction available for the selected account.

Q: How much history displays by default for an account? Can I change the default amount?
A: The default amount of history displayed for a selected account is 50 transactions. This default amount, by number of transactions or number of days of history, can be changed for each account under Preferences>Account.

Q: When I download my history to Quicken or QuickBooks, it doesn’t launch the application automatically. Why?
A: There is no association for the file type to the application. The easiest way to create the association is to save the download file to your desktop the first time, then right-click on the file and select the ‘Open with’ option. This will allow you to choose Quicken® or QuickBooks® from a list, depending on the download file type. The next time you download your history, the program should launch automatically.

Q: When I export my history, why doesn’t the data display on the screen?
A: This is done intentionally to minimize download time. When you choose to export your data, the time it would take to display the data on the screen is generally unnecessary. If you wish to display the data first, select the ‘Display Results’ and click ‘Submit’ to first show the data, then the ‘Export to file’ drop-down to complete the export.

Q: How do I view check and other transaction images?
A: The magnifying glass icon next to some transactions indicates that there is an image stored for that transaction, a check image for example.
